The Irish Signals and Systems Conference (ISSC 2013)

Letterkenny Institute of Technology, 20th - 21st June 2013

Call for Papers

Dear Colleague,

Over the past 24 years, ISSC has become established as the premier conference in Ireland addressing all aspects of signals and systems. The conference focuses on Digital Signal Processing, Control and Communications, and encompasses algorithm and system modeling, design, and implementation, for a broad range of applications. The conference this year will also include an additional topic on Systems and Information Security which will cover areas such as Secure Coding, Cloud Infrastructures, Mobile Security, Cryptography, Watermarking, Steganography and Digital Evidence/Forensics.

On behalf of the Organising Committee, I would like to welcome all the participants to the Letterkenny Institute of Technology and the 24th IET Irish Signals and Systems Conference (ISSC) 2013. This year's conference is organised by the School of Science.

The main purpose of the conference is to bring together researchers in the electronic engineering and computer science communities for the exchange of ideas in a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere. Over the years, the changing nature of the conference content has reflected the changing interests of our community. This year we have an interesting combination of the fundamental and the applied - with specific sessions on communications, and secure systems. This area represents the convergence of the applied and the fundamental, industry and academia, and it is very gratifying to see the strength of publications and activity in this area.

Submission Guidelines

Prospective authors are invited to submit a 6-8 page (A4) fully formatted manuscript of original research by 5th April, 2013.

A very limited number of Virtual Presentations will be permitted for those facing traveling difficulties. Permission to present virtually must be sought from the Conference Chair beforehand. Guidelines for Virtual Presentations will be made available in due course.

All papers will be reviewed by at least three members of the Technical Programme Committee. Following review, authors will be informed whether their paper is accepted and, if accepted, whether it will be orally presented or presented as a poster. The Technical Programme Committee will select high quality papers containing original work.

I look forward to welcoming you to Letterkenny Institute of Technology this summer.

Best Regards,
